Ellen Green-Ceisler: My first blog post
Greetings, Young Philly Politics! My name is Ellen Green-Ceisler and I am running for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas. I believe our judicial process must be guided by three basic principals: fairness, accountability, and transparency. If elected, I promise to uphold these values in my courtroom.
I have been very impressed with many of the ideas discussed on this website. It's encouraging to see so many people engaged in discussions about how to make our city better. I was particularly interested in reading the post about reforming judicial elections—as a candidate (I also ran in 2005 and lost by just over 1,000 votes, so this is my second time running), I can say that many of the comments were right on target!
Over the next few weeks, I plan to share some of my achievements and accomplishments with readers of this site. If you have any questions, please feel free to comment and I promise to answer as soon as possible. Please excuse me if it takes a while to respond. Running for elected office requires me to spend a lot of time away from a computer. I value each comment and look forward to the discussion.

If you have any questions or comments, please to not hesitate to contact me or someone working on my campaign.
Also, check out this week's cover story in the Philadelphia CityPaper. You can get it on-line at:

Thank you!

Hi Ellen,
It's Sam from Philly For Change, we chat whenever you visit Meetup, which I'd like to point out to folks has been frequent.
That window onto your race--and the crazy road an honest person must follow to get to the bench around here--should open some eyes!
Good luck! I promise to find your name on Election Day!
Proudly supporting the BEAUTIFUL Philly For Change Council Slate and MICHAEL NUTTER for Mayor
