...'cause right now, I care much more about the rebirth of Ryan Howard's opposite field power.
Two things that have been true my entire life: our sports teams suck, and our politicians don't win.
Are you telling me that in one week...
Get ready for a crazy 8 days.

The Red Sox pulled it out after a lifetime growing up as a New England sports fan. There was even a blood red full moon.
Then Kerry lost.
It's the time of year where passersby aren't looking oddly at the array of good luck charms and evil wards covering my house, so hopefully the ley lines will permit us a sweep both athletically and politically.
Possible well-boding harbinger: After the Sox won in '04, Curt Schilling went out on his bloody ankle and stumped for Bush, beginning with his post-series appearance on Good Morning America. Victorino's on record as an Obama supporter, and moreso one of those guys who never really thought his vote mattered till he saw Obama.
Its A Wonderful Fall
It is begining to look like a once in a lifetime fall...the planets are all aligning for me. Penn State is undefeated and headed to a possible national champinship. The Phillies are a game away from winning the World Series and on November 4th Senator Obama will become our President-Elect!!!
It doesn't get much better.

Well...
Two nice falls in a row for you, Seth, might be an even better thing for the city, along with a parade this week and an Obama celebration next.
Oh, and toss in an especially fine spring for you too.
But I guess we don't want to get ahead of ourselves.
