The Last Days Of The STREET

I was thinking that its only a matter of time before our beloved Mayor leaves City Hall for good. For some that time can't come any faster. We already know who's the next Mayor of Philly going to be, no surprise at all. So I was thinking of things that our nice Mayor in office can do in his last month in term.

Week 1) Debrief our new mayor of all the Bull---t that you left for him .
For some newly elected mayors this will take about at least 5 months for all this information to sink in . Then you can look back and think "why did I take this job in the first place?" Have a parade , the only parade down Broad St. to apologize for wasting 8 years of our lives as Mayor. For the last three days of that week , take a long nap under Mayor Rizzo statue so he could know how it feels to sleep just like the rest that call the alleys around City Hall home.

Week 2) Donate your last month in office earnings to a local charity.
This will show that he still has a little heart under all that gray hair. Make appearances on local networks telling our citizens how he will support the new mayor to the fullest. This P.R. stunt will probably take more than a month. Take a walk down your streets one more time and think about why you didn't promote a better CLEAN STREETS policy.

Week 3) Time to really operate Safe Streets
Take 4 hours out of the day, preferably at night to patrol the streets that you never interacted with. Its time for Mayor Street to put on a vest and walk the beat. Make traffic stops and arrest some of the people that our D.A. failed to keep in jail. No Dunkin Donuts for you or playing on your IPhone, its time to get to work. Issue warrants and finally pay off those tickets that you and your family have occurred during your tenure. Make a public apology to all the parents that you failed with our police department to protect during our costly high homicide years. Show on the news that finally that I will make a difference in our streets. One man can make a difference.

Week 4) Clean Office
Its time for all those people that you hired that were robbing our city to get a early exit on the street. All those people in your administration that disgraced our city , its time to close the bank on these losers. Sell all that expensive furniture that you brought with our tax payers money and donate to all the shelters that need furniture or places to live. Make life a little better for all the citizens you let down, and let down your workers gently. They will understand that the buck stops here. Its time to fix your image if you ever want to run for office anywhere in this state. You work too hard to go out as the laughing stock of all Mayors that graced the room of 215. What would your kids think?

Week 5) Its time to say goodbye, its so hard to say goodbye!
This is the week that you stand right under City Hall on a stage and take all questions from all the citizens of Philly. Don't be alarmed if they throw things at you and please don't have anyone arrested for taking out aggression in the form of a tomato. This is how people feel for the 8 yrs that you served us diligently. This will be televised and live for all who can't make it to the event. Catch a couple of games if any are playing that week and please pay like everyone else. Have a nice dinner with your family and reflect on all thats happen during your tenure, probably at your fave restaurant , please pay like everyone else. Even when they say its okay Mayor Street, pay any way. Take one more walk down your streets, look at the future and see if this city grew during your tenure as Mayor. Take one more look at City Hall and say "its been fun ride!" Then do the most important thing you have ever done in your life.

TURN YOUR SELF IN TO THE FEDERAL BUILDING FOR ALL QUESTIONS AND CHARGES THAT MIGHT BE WAITING FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the least you can do, if your innocent it will be a quick trial. Everyone charged and convicted will thank you for that.

Thank you Mayor Street, you will make the history books! And I'm glad to say that I'm a philadelphian that witnessed it all . Something to tell the kids one day.......

Thank you Mayor, we love ya!
