Vern Anastasio is a life long Philadelphian with nearly 15 years experience in business, government service and law. As an RDA attorney, Anastasio drafted new procedures that ended the pay-to-play practices of city councilmembers giving city-owned land to favored real estate developers. Vern investigated hate crimes and responded to incidents of school violence at the city's Human Relations Commission. He went after absentee landlords at the Fair Housing Commission. And Vern was a legislative aide in City Council. Now Vern wants to go to City Council to return the district to the people and end the culture of corruption in the 1st District.
