The Next Mayor project hosts an on-line, interactive candidate forum on 10/25 at 10am
Hey fans of Philadelphia issues and politics,
On Thursday, October 25th, at 10 a.m., The Next Mayor project will welcome Michael Nutter and Al Taubenberger to the WHYY studios for the first mayoral forum to be offered live and interactively to a mass audience.
We're still welcoming video questions through YouTube. Just send it to our YouTube account or email us at TheNextMayor@whyy.org. We've gotten some (ok... three) already and they're pretty good questions so feel free to join in the fun.
As for the "interactivity" of Thursday's event. After you take a couple minutes to go through a quick, easy and FREE registration process, you'll get an email confirmation and some simple tests to make sure that your computer is able to access all of the features.
During the event, you'll be able to watch the forum, submit questions to the producers who may put those questions to the candidates, AND participate in a live chat with other viewers - all in one window on your computer.
For more information, check out the "Mayoral Forum" page at thenextmayor.com.

Best & Brightest
There is an opportunity to improve the thought-process in City Hall by voting for the Best & Brightest in the upcoming election. While public outrage is at an alltime high judging from the result of informal surveys in all areas of the city; this outrage has not yet been translated into informed ballot box action based on the 30 percent turnout of elibible voters for our last election. This means, even with some solid candidates running for council, the political hack contingent (we know who they are) still have a chance to survive and maintain the status quo that has done so much damage to this city over years of one-party dominance.
