Oh, Technology: "Interactive Shooting Map" Now Updated With The 2004 Shootings From 2006

Two thousand and four red dots, click here. E.g. my corner, 10/8, 9 pm.

You can sort by age, race, sex and time. There's also one for murders.

I'm famous

They have the one (murder) right in front of my house and one of 3 white victims even remotely in the area.

Wish they would have had more time break downs instead of 4 groups.

Timing.

The murders have exact times, but yeah.

There's a boy who's been doing this for Baltimore (and Maryland and DC, his map is here)--the police don't publish full statistics, especially in Baltimore, so he pieced them together. He's interested in charting shootings against drug crimes and camera locations eventually.

Jennifer

Right. It would have been

Right. It would have been just nice to filter by hour or every two hours.

I am guessing this is just a general GIS mapping.

Public Health Emergency

This map is simply staggering. It provides an important break from reading about casinos, BPT, wage tax, Green building, etc. This is an abomination, an embarassment, and a public health emergency on par with a bird flu outbreak. Look at all those dots. Several are within firing range of my son's school and my daughter's daycare.

There are different events every day that sway me from candidate to candidate. Stuff like this makes me lean Evans. I need someone in office who is going to lie awake nights wondering about novel and outside the box ways to get rid of all those dots.

Every dot on there-- all 2004-- is a life shattered, a family changed forever. I do not care if you are just grazed, it is impossible to be shot and not come out of the experience changed.
