I really wanted to post about the little known role Herve Villechaize plays in deciding Democratic presidential nominations but decided its not cool to make fun of those who have passed.
-Sean MrLuigi, my cat, actually only types half as badly as I do.
Since I'm confident of only amusing myself at this point, why not go for broke?
This image from the Villechaize wiki link above I find both disturbing, sad and perversely a tiny bit funny in an admittedly dark, dark sort of way. Now that its firmly etched in my mind I'm having a hard time shaking it.
According to his former butler in an episode of the E! True Hollywood Story[2], Villechaize never got over losing his job, and for the remainder of his life practiced an often nightly ritual of drinking in a darkened room while screaming obscenities at an episode of Fantasy Island playing on his television.

That is a truly disturbing image, Sean.
But then again - the guy lived on Fantasy Island - the rest of his life was gonna be a letdown.
But that raises more questions:
Who would a delegate from Fantasy Island support in this primary anyway? Obama or Clinton?
Still holdin' out for Kucinich there? What?
What about a delegate from Giligan's Island?
Or Vulcan? (Obama, I'd guess).
Atlantis? Middle-Earth? (Camelot has obviously already made their decision.) Is the electability argument working with Xanadu? Was it her position on rescinding the gas tax that gave Clinton the planet of Dune by a 15 point spread?
And the real question on everyone's mind:
When they decide on May 31 - will the DNC seat the delegates from Narnia?

Some states, in order to maximize the number of delegate slots, allow two people to serve in one delegate position. Each one has half a vote. It doesn't matter much on the first ballot when delegates have to vote for the candidate for whom they are pledged. It could matter if there is a second ballot, which there won't be this year, or if some procedural issue is decided by the delegates.
I don't know if this is true. It is a guess. But what else could it be?
And it is interesting to think that somewhere in some state, legislation is passed because a governor or legislative leader promises to give someone the position of half a delgate.

1/2 a Delegate
Maybe the parties adjust the delegate tally for those who have the XXY, XYY, XXX sex chromosomal anomalies?
another question
Does Obama get the upper half and Clinton the lower? Visa versa? Is it a left/right split? Diagonal?
I'd answer
but Michelle Obama would have to kill me. Bill doesn't care.
Did i mention I'll be here all week?

Not sure about all Vulcan's
But something tells me Spock would be in Obama's camp because of the whole bi-racial, bi-cultural thing.

The Only Answer I Have Today

The 1/2 Delegates
They belong to Democrats Abroad:

9 delegates
each with a half a vote.
Too bad that the second part of my answer isn't true. But I bet some enterprising Governor will adopt the idea.
