Right to Vote; Right to Healthcare.

Forebears have sacrificed, many even given their lives for our rights to vote; people today are sacrificing, and giving their lives around the world for the right to vote. Coming Monday, October 6, merely 2 days from now, is the deadline for PA voter registration! 2008 election is historical for this country and beyond; what will you remember years from now? As one responsible citizen the answer should be self evident: I voted, and also enabled my fellow citizens to vote; we made the best choice for generations to come.

"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors." -Plato

Case in point, a lot has been discused about the healthcare crisis in the campaigns. Healthcare is the basic human rights by any measure for a civilized society. Right to healthcare must be a key governing principle of any administration of conscience and backbone. There is no ifs, and buts about it; the rest is technicality. Only by exercise your right to vote can we begin to bring real and meaningful change in our lives; it will not be easy and will take joint efforts from all, including holding politicians accountable. The Obama and Biden healthcare proposal provides accessible and affordable healthcare, and is a bridge to the eventual universal healthcare for all.

Healthcare in America is at a turning point...

...please take action to make real change happen.

The national healthcare campaign Healthcare for America Now will be kicking off in Philadelphia on October 16, 1 p.m., on the lawn in front of the National Constitution Center.

We will be asking our elected officials: which side are you on?

The side of the American people, or the side of the insurance industry?

Please make it a point to be there to show how important this issue is.
