The Sweet: State Senator Daylin Leach's Legislative Aide Zach Hoover on how we can support his boss's historic/heroic/just plain fair proposed Marriage Equality Bill.

The Sour: The annually-gruesome summer PA budget war is aiming for Armageddon this year, with school budgets, SCHIP funding, and whole state parks on the block. Silver lining: House Appropriations Secretary/Good Guy Josh Shapiro is asking PFC for input.

Reason Not to Miss: Dan U-A graciously agreed to come out and talk about Draft Sestak and make the case for the campaign.

This morning Dan rowed so amazingly super fast he and his rowing partner are now #1 in the US for skinny boys who row in boats that have two people.

And now he's going to Poland to try to qualify for the Olympics!

The best part was after he won. Someone said that cheering for Dan in Poland would be the first time they could ever imagine themself chanting "U S A! U S A!" and his grandfather looked kind of serious and said "you know what happened when Michelle Obama said that..."

Our fearless leader, Dan Urevick-Ackelsberg, has been missing from this blog for the past week or so because he is in Munich, Germany competing in the men's lightweight international World Rowing Championships.

Dan and his teammate will be competing in the final on Sunday. It will be at 7:45 AM and you can see it live at wcsn.com. And here's a great photo of Dan, getting his game face on I guess:

If Dan makes the finals, he has a shot at going on to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing!
