VOTE FOR VANESSA on the OBAMA ticket.
Moving on - Vanessa Brown faces a write-in in the 190th
Submitted by MrLuigi on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 12:51pm.So in news of other races, physical copies of the official DCC sponsored voting guide in the 190th have apparently recently surfaced. Surprisingly (or perhaps not) Vanessa Brown, the one Democratic candidate actually on the ballot, is not on it. Instead it urges voters to write-in Tommy Blackwell's name.
In an election where voter turnout will be increased dramatically, Tommy's chances of success are slim but VANESSA BROWN STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP, on election day making sure no funny business goes down, reaching out to voters before e-day and to be blunt retiring some of those legal bills.
Please, if you feel strongly about Vanessa’s candidacy:

West Philly Machine State Rep Tommy Blackwell (Jannie’s stepson) got knocked off the ballot. What does that mean?
That means the amazing, super-positive, and super-inspiring community activist Vanessa Brown—for whom great speeches with touching personal stories are par for the course—can become our next great progressive representative in Harrisburg.

Vanessa was a student in my Community Involvement class; it soon became apparent that she could be teaching the class. She is certainly one of the most talented students I have been privileged to teach.
Vanessa has a very impressive record as a community activist. You can learn more about Vanessa at Vanessabrown2008.com
