Two Hillary Events on Wednesday night

With regard to prior post about a happy hour at Devil's Alley, I have to cancel as the OPENING of the phone bank party is scheduled for the same time a few blocks away – as well as the Phillary for Hillary party at the Delaware Avenue office.

It's a nice problem to have!

Here are the events:

Phonebanking for Hillary at the AFT Office

Phonebank Kick Off! WEDNESDAY, March 19, 5pm
AFT Union Hall, 1816 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia
We will be phonebanking at the AFT (American Federation of Teachers) union hall, located at 1816 Chestnut St. Bring your favorite friend and make some phone calls to undecided voters! We will also be holding phone banks here from 5:00-9:00pm, Monday through Friday. Let us know when you can make it and how many people will be coming with you! You should call Arthur Lewis at 864-404-1886 or email him at arthurlewi@gmail.com.

Philly 4 Hillary
Wednesday, March 19th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm
at campaign headquarters -- 520 N. Delaware Avenue at Spring Garden,
Suite 201, Philadelphia, PA 19123

We will be dividing into working groups to plan and commit to specific
actions in support of the campaign. We all want to put our skills and
passion to work for Hillary's candidacy, and help her win by a large
margin in our region and state. In preparation for the meeting, please
take a few minutes to write down the specific skills that you can
offer, and the types of activities that most interest you. Come
prepared to network and get down to the "nitty-gritty!"

One of the top priorities the campaign has identified and requested our
assistance with is something that we discussed at last week's meeting
-- reaching out to Republican women who might be willing to change
their registration in order to vote for Hillary in the Democratic
primary. The most efficient and effective way to do this (in addition
to speaking directly with our neighbors and friends in this category)
in the short time that remains until the March 24 registration deadline
is to make phone calls using the "Activate" script (attached to this
e-mail). The phone calls that you make using Activate will allow us,
if we all participate as much as we are able to over this next short
period of time, to collectively reach a pool of approximately 250,000
Republican women across the state. We are asking everyone to set a
personal goal of how much time they can give to this project between
now and Wednesday, and between Wednesday evening and the deadline, so
that we can tell the campaign what our group's collective contribution
can add up to. If you encounter any problems using the Activate
system, please feel free to contact campaign field staff at
215-625-0329.

Additionally, we are asking all of you to go through your personal
networks and determine who of your friends, colleagues, and
acquaintances are Hillary supporters. We want to expand our grassroots
network as rapidly as possible, and invite participation at all levels
by as large a group as possible. Invite people to our meetings, form
local neighborhood chapters that can speak to neighbors, distribute
yard signs, encourage people to volunteer with our group as well as
directly with the campaign. Encourage every Hillary supporter that you
encounter to talk with other voters, let them know why they support
Senator Clinton, and encourage them to get involved.

We will be expanding our website in the near future
(www.philly4Hillary.com), and if you or anyone else can assist with
this process, please contact Jonathan at rebyoni@excite.com. If you
have any questions, bring them to the meeting, or contact Ruth,
Jonathan, or Maimuna in the meantime.
